Books

Over the years, I’ve written and published five books on nudism and naturism, helping textiles and nudists to understand better nudism and benefit from it. They make great gifts for textiles and nudists, and are a great addition to any nudist library.

For those books on nudism, I’m using the pen name of Stan Muir, for two reasons. The first is that it’s the anagram of naturism. The second is that it’s a tribute to John Muir who loved nature as I do, although he was not a naturist (as far as I know). I loved his books and the life he chose.

The Comfort of Nudity

The Comfort of Nudity (Nudism)

Is nudity comfortable? For nudists and naturists, it is! Without any doubt. But for non nudists and naturists, it is far from being comfortable. It's shamefull at best, totally gross at worst. But why, since it's our primal costume? Why have we become so prude? Society, culture and religion all play a role in the relationship we entertain with our body. I wrote this little book to demystify nudity and demonstrate that nudity is not only comfortable but totally normal and natural.

12 Ways to Become Comfortable with Nudity

12 Ways to Become Comfortable with Nudity (Nudism)

Embracing Nudity

Embracing Nudity (Nudism)

For most people, nudism is a sexual practice. Nudism is a lifestyle for which social nudity is core. Nudism is a popular term in North America when other places may use Naturism. They design the same reality, the same lifestyle, and share social nudity. For some people, getting naked in front of others is unthinkable. Nudity carries shame of the body and is limited to the intimacy of the bathroom. However, stepping out of the bathroom to the unknown of nudism is liberating. Liberating for the mind, the body, and the soul. This book is about nudism and finding ways of becoming nudist. We are all inherently born nudist and we are taught to cover. The Original Sin is looming over our shoulder. But we can free ourselves from it and become nudist again, enjoying the freedom of being clothes-free. All nudists will tell you that it’s a journey of no return. And one that you will never regret!

101 Ideas to Increase Nude Time and Nudist Friends

101 Ideas to Increase Nude Time and Nudist Friends (Nudism)

Nudism is a wonderful lifestyle. However, it’s tainted with a lot of preconceived ideas and you cannot really understand nudism until you try it with other nudists and become a nudist. This book, the fourth in the Nudism series, introduces 101 activities that you can carry out entirely naked. Some are obvious, some less so. They are providing great opportunities to increase nude time and the number of our nudist friends. Some readers have put some on their to-do lists, some have discovered new experiences. In all cases, this book will help you discover nudism with a new lense.

Becoming a Nudist

Becoming a Nudist

Nudist? You mean being nude, naked? Putting your willy on display? Are you an exhibitionist?

This was some questions nudists receive when they tell friends they are nudists and loved to stay nude on beaches, resorts or simply at home. Nudity equals sex for many, if not most, people. We all question the link between sex and nudity. The string generally break when you set a foot in a nudist resort or park. People are naked, playing beach volley, calmly sunbathing, swimming or just chatting. There's no sex, no lewd behaviors, no blatant exhibitionism, just simple and casual nudity.

This book explores various aspects of nudism and the journey that leads to the “nudist enlightenment”. Some people discover nudism and decide on the spot this is something they like. Others require more time, but eventually embrace nudism. Some are sitting on a fence, not sure they like it. Others are finding nudism gross and unacceptable. However, all nudists, from all-day to holiday ones, discover nudism step by step. We don’t all realize this journey. But when you stop, ponder, and reflect on your various nudist experiences, you realize that there were small events along the way. You were told about a book or a blog about nudism, you were invited to a naked barbecue, you experienced your first nude hike or nude yoga session, you met new nudists, etc.

Each of those events makes nudism practitioners discover, most of the time without realizing it, a new facet of nudism. Nudism is actually like a polished diamond: it’s incredibly beautiful and each facet reflects the light differently. However, diamond is one of the toughest stones. Being a nudist can be incredibly hard sometimes. Hard to just get naked whenever and wherever we would like to. Hard to make people understand that nudism is a social and family lifestyle. Hard to be understood for who we are. It’s because it’s hard that nudism matters a lot.

This book invites you to a journey. A personal journey that you can, or even should, share with your beloved ones. Nudism is personal and social. It is personal because of the feelings and sensations you and only you will perceive. It is social because you unknowingly share some aspects of those feelings and sensations. Embark on the journey and let this book be your map.
