Previous part, Part III: The Awkward Dinner
The sun was still high in the summer sky as the Parkers arrived at the Wells' house. As the door opened to the infectious laughter and enticing aroma of home-cooked food, the Parkers stepped into a warm, inviting atmosphere that set their hearts at ease.
The dinner unfolded with surprising normalcy - lively chatter, shared laughter, and intriguing anecdotes. The Wells, always the charming hosts, made their guests feel at ease. As the lasagna was served, and the Parkers enjoyed the mouthwatering delicacy, they began to see their eccentric neighbors in a new light. For a while, the discussion remained safely within the bounds of school updates, local events, and shared interests.
As dessert came to end and the kids where playing video games in the lounge, the conversations took a turn towards the unexpected. Kevin Wells, always the engaging conversationalist, steered the topic towards their unique lifestyle. "You know, Martin, Elsie," he began, his voice firm yet inviting, "We've never really spoken about our lifestyle choice, but I’m sure you might have noticed we’re often naked in the garden. This is a lifestyle called naturism."
